This weekend, we were invited to attend Mass at the Basilica of Our Lady of Aparecida. Perfect timing, as I had been looking for an excuse to ride my newly purchased Kawasaki Vulcan S!
This is an easy trip to take on two wheels, as most of the time you’ll be riding in a straight line on an excellent road. The gas stations are relatively close to each other, and you’ll encounter many bikers coming and going. There’s absolutely no risk of finding yourself stranded on the highway.
In total, we rode about 400 kilometers. It was a bit more exhausting than I expected, due to the fact that this bike doesn’t have a windshield, and the wind was fighting me for most of the ride.
There’s not much to say about the trip itself, as we attended Mass and then came back. However, it served as a good benchmark for our next trip. We noticed that our setup was missing a few essential items:
- Helmets with internal sun visors
- Bike windshield
- UV-protected balaclavas
- Quality gloves for cold winds
- Helmet locks
- Helmet intercoms
